Measure: "Inocheques LT"
Project Value: 20,000.00 LTL (MITA Funding: 15,800.00 LTL)
Project Period: 2013-05-01 to 2013-10-31
Overview: Corn is a versatile crop for food, feed, and industry. Selecting suitable varieties for Lithuania's climate is critical. This project investigated Hungarian corn varieties through field trials to determine optimal seeding rates, test resistance to early sowing compared to market analogs, and analyze qualitative and quantitative yield parameters.
Objectives:
Determine optimal seeding rates per hectare for Hungarian varieties in field trials.
Investigate resistance to early sowing (soil temp ) compared to analogs.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative grain parameters.
Impact: Data obtained will be used in commercial and educational activities to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed varieties to partners and farmers.
