Measure: "Intellect. Joint Science-Business Projects"
Allocated Funding: €171,390.86
Project Start: 2017-01-01
Project End: 2019-06-30
The project consisted of two structural parts: R&D infrastructure expansion and R&D activity for new product creation.
Funding: Financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
R&D Infrastructure Expansion: By expanding R&D infrastructure, the company created one of the most advanced soil, plant, and microbiological research centers in the Baltic States. The center can precisely determine nitrogen and phosphorus parameters, physical and chemical soil properties, and perform precision plant measurements (such as 1000-seed weight). This expanded infrastructure enables the analysis, creation, and market introduction of new ecological and environmentally friendly agrochemical products.
R&D for New Product Creation: The company actively researches microorganisms (MO) and related substances. In this project, Nando Europe UAB (formerly Chemcentras UAB) modeled and created a biostimulant – "MO food." This is a special soil preparation specifically targeting certain MO groups to accelerate their reproduction and activity. Increased functional MO activity promotes intensive plant growth and productivity. During implementation, laboratory and field trials tested over 1000 variations, identifying best results for commercialization. The acquired equipment is also used for creating other products and updating existing ones.
